<p><strong>Matt 28:18-20</strong> <em>Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”</em> <span id="more-496"></span></p>
<p><strong>Saturday 1</strong></p>
<p>Pray for <em><strong>Chris</strong></em> as he preaches at The Gathering tonight - ask God to give him insight, and the ability to teach and apply the message well. Pray also for <em><strong>The Bridge</strong></em> - that tonight would be a positive time of sharing and mutual support for those recovering from addiction.</p>
<p><strong>Sunday 2 </strong></p>
<p>As <em><strong>Mike and Grant</strong></em> preach today, pray that God will enable them to teach the Bible clearly, truthfully and faithfully, and pray that God will help listeners to understand the Scriptures and respond rightly.</p>
<p><strong>Monday 3</strong></p>
<p>Thank God that he has given <em><strong>Trent McGrath</strong></em> the desire to serve at St Faith’s as a Ministry Apprentice. Pray that his Supporters’ Evening tonight would result in many people partnering with Trent in this ministry. Ask God to encourage Trent and Alice as they meet with friends and future partners.</p>
<p>Thank God for the way he speaks to us through the scriptures. Ask God to give <em><strong>Kerry </strong></em>a good insight into Micah and how God wants to apply this passage to each congregation of St Faith’s this Sunday.</p>
<p><strong>Tuesday 4 </strong></p>
<p>Pray for <em><strong>John Morris </strong></em>as he preaches at the <em><strong>Collaroy Aged Care centre</strong></em>, that the residents and staff will learn more about Jesus and his love for them.</p>
<p>Pray for <em><strong>Grant</strong></em> as he leads a Simply Christianity course; pray that the people attending will grow in their faith in Jesus.</p>
<p>Please lift up the <em><strong>Gathering leadership team</strong></em> as they meet tonight. Ask for wisdom. Ask that God would raise up more Bible study leaders for 2009.</p>
<p><strong> Wednesday 5</strong></p>
<p>Praise God for those who are <em><strong>being trained to teach ESL</strong></em>. Ask that we would be able to connect with those in the area who speak little or no English, and that we&#8217;d be able to serve them and point them to Jesus.</p>
<p>Pray for the <em><strong>Seniors’ Fellowship group</strong></em> as they have an outing to the Stoney Range Botanical Reserve today.</p>
<p>Pray for <em><strong>Evan Barnes</strong></em> as he prepares to speak at the youth group ASIO this Friday. Pray that the regulars at ASIO will be bold in inviting their friends along.</p>
<p><strong>Thursday 6</strong></p>
<p>Give thanks for the <em><strong>ISCF group at Cromer High school</strong></em> and the great opportunities this presents. Pray for Chris Ekins as he speaks at ISCF today from John 8. Pray that young people would understand who Jesus says he is and what he came to do and that they might respond by giving their lives to him.</p>
<p>Pray for the <em><strong>annual 10.30 church weekend away</strong></em> to Toowoon Bay this weekend.  Pray for good weather, safe travel, good fun &amp; fellowship. Pray also for Michael Osborne &amp; Mike Heptonstall as they coordinate the weekend.</p>
<p><strong>Friday 7</strong></p>
<p>Pray for <em><strong>Ben Molyneux</strong></em> as he speaks at Soulies tonight on Jonah. Pray that God would speak through Ben and that he would do a good job of applying the story of Jonah to the lives of the crew at Soulies so that they might grow in their understanding and love for God. Pray for God’s energy for our Soulies leaders as they serve this term, including <em><strong>Alice Davison, Alison Brittle, Alana Van Weeren, Alicia Wells, Michelle Lound, Simon Nagel, James Kirsop &amp; Ja Hawkins.</strong></em></p>
<p><em><strong>WAC Getaway</strong></em> - ask God to protect the people from Warriewood as they go away together to be refreshed from God&#8217;s Word. Pray for wisdom for speaker Mark Tough. As Tom Brittle leads the children&#8217;s ministry on the weekend, ask God to strengthen him with energy, patience and enthusiasm.</p>
<p><strong>Saturday 8 </strong></p>
<p>Pray for <em><strong>Trent and Alice</strong></em> as they get married today. Ask that their life together would be built on God&#8217;s Word, and that the Spirit would empower them to keep their vows.  Pray for Ben Molyneux as he speaks at their wedding. Give thanks for the opportunity to speak to their family and friends from the Bible and ask that God would use the talk to challenge people to consider Christ in their own lives.</p>
<p><strong>Sunday 9 </strong></p>
<p>Pray for <em><strong>Neil Souter</strong></em> (Gathering), <em><strong>Anthony Flatt</strong></em> (WAC) and <em><strong>Ed O’Conor </strong></em>(Sunday @ 6.30) as they speak today; ask God to give them clear insight into Micah 3.</p>
<p><strong>Monday 10 </strong></p>
<p>Pray for <em><strong>Carole Robertson </strong></em>in her role as pastoral carer of hospital patients and nursing home/hostel residents. Give thanks for the opportunities to witness to those in her care, pray that God will continue to give her the strength to cope with the demands of her work.</p>
<p><strong>Tuesday 11</strong></p>
<p>Pray for members of <em><strong>Mothers’ Union</strong></em> as they hold their Christmas lunch today.</p>
<p>Give thanks for those who have served our country in times of war, and pray for the <em><strong>Remembrance Day service in the War Vets</strong></em> this morning at 10.15am.  Pray also for those who attend the <em><strong>Communion Service</strong></em> run by Mike in <em><strong>Connie Fall Hostel</strong></em> today, as well as his service this afternoon in<em><strong> Kokoda Hostel</strong></em>.</p>
<p><strong>Wednesday 12</strong></p>
<p>Pray for wisdom for the <em><strong>War Vets’ Chapel committee meeting</strong></em> today. Pray also for the <em><strong>staff at WAC</strong></em> as they meet today to plan for Christmas events.</p>
<p><strong>Thursday 13 </strong></p>
<p>Pray for <em><strong>Mike’s sermon preparation </strong></em>for this Sunday (preaching at 8.30, 10.30 &amp; 6.30pm).  Pray that God will teach Mike from the Scriptures and enable him to apply the Scriptures rightly to himself and to others.</p>
<p><strong>Friday 14 </strong></p>
<p>Pray for Mike’s services this morning at <em><strong>North West Hostel &amp; Peter Cosgrove Nursing Home</strong></em>, as well as his Bible Study group in another part of the War Vets.  Pray that the residents would be encouraged and comforted as they hear God’s Word.</p>
<p>Pray for <em><strong>Evan Barnes</strong></em> as he speaks at ASIO tonight. Pray that those who come will have soft hearts and see their need for Jesus.</p>
<p>Pray for the <em><strong>Parenting Seminar</strong></em> happening tonight at St Faith’s. Pray for Nicky Lock as she speaks on the topic of “understanding teenage depression”. Ask that many parents would come along to hear Nicky speak and that this opportunity (being advertised externally) might also attract parents from the community.</p>
<p><strong>Saturday 15</strong></p>
<p>Pray for <em><strong>Chris</strong></em> as he preaches at The Gathering / 6pm this weekend. Ask God to speak through him, and for God&#8217;s people to hear what He has to say to them.</p>
<p>Pray for <em><strong>Paul Watson and Renee Harvey</strong></em> as they are married today. Pray for Grant as he conducts the service and preaches from God’s word.</p>
<p><strong>Sunday 16 </strong></p>
<p>Ask God to give <em><strong>Grant </strong></em>clear understanding of Micah 4 as he speaks at WAC today, pray that the members of WAC will be encouraged and strengthened.</p>
<p><strong> Monday 17</strong></p>
<p>Pray for <em><strong>Ben Molyneux, Neil Souter and Beck McCausland</strong></em> as they sit their Bible College exams this week. Pray that they would be diligent in study and that they would recall well the things they’ve learnt during the semester. Give thanks for the opportunity they have to study and pray it equips them well for ministry both now and in the future.</p>
<p><strong>Tuesday 18 </strong></p>
<p>Pray for wisdom for the <em><strong>Northern Peninsula SRE committee</strong></em> (who oversee Deb Peter&#8217;s work at Cromer High) as they meet tonight to pray and support Deb. Pray for Deb to be able to connect well to students and staff, and that the gospel might bear fruit in their lives.</p>
<p>Pray for those who attend <em><strong>Mike’s Bible Study group in Cutler Village</strong></em>, as well as his service this afternoon in Kokoda Hostel.  Pray that those who attend will be encouraged and comforted as they meet together around God’s Word.</p>
<p><em><strong>Paul &amp; Sandra King</strong></em> in Strasbourg; “The Mark Experiment” (a dramatic presentation of Mark’s gospel) is being held tonight. Pray that the performance will run smoothly and that many non-Christians will attend.</p>

<p>Pray for <em><strong>Chris Ekins</strong></em> as he speaks at <em><strong>Seniors’ Fellowship</strong></em> today. Pray also that the members will enjoy their time together singing carols and sharing lunch.</p>
<p><strong>Thursday 20 </strong></p>
<p>Pray for <em><strong>Evan Barnes</strong></em> as he speaks at Cromer High ISCF today. Pray that God would use Evan to clearly explain John 11 to the students and that, by understanding more about who Jesus says he is, that they might turn to Jesus and follow him.</p>
<p><strong>Friday 21</strong></p>
<p>Pray for Mike’s services this morning at <em><strong>North West Hostel &amp; Peter Cosgrove Nursing Home</strong></em>, that those who attend will be encouraged through the Bible. Pray also for the <em><strong>Seaside Nursing Home service</strong></em>; for Grant as he speaks and for helpers Alan &amp; Helen Channon, Margaret Channon, Cath Oakes, Frede Linton and John McCormick.</p>
<p>Pray for the women’s <em><strong>Christmas card making event</strong></em> being held tonight and tomorrow. Pray for <em><strong>Sharon Ekins</strong></em> as she speaks tonight &amp; <em><strong>Merryl Clarke</strong></em> speaking Saturday afternoon.  Pray for guests to have soft hearts that respond to Jesus.</p>

<p><em><strong>Our Link Missionaries</strong><strong> in South-East Asia</strong></em>; give thanks for the provision of a car, pray for continued health as Dengue Fever threatens their community.</p>

<p>Pray for <em><strong>Kerry</strong></em> (8.30, 10.30, WAC, 6.00) and <em><strong>Glenn Walsh</strong></em> (Sunday@6.30) as they teach us from Micah 5 today.</p>

<p>Pray for <em><strong>Marion Baker, Jim Hutchings, Larry Tolnay, John &amp; Lynne McCormick, John Moore</strong></em> &amp; others who do such a great job visiting and caring spiritually for some of the elderly in the War Vets.</p>
<p><strong>Tuesday 25</strong></p>
<p><em><strong>School scripture</strong></em> is finishing up for the year this week. Pray that the scripture teachers would faithfully teach the Gospel and that the children would respond, trusting Jesus with their lives. Ask God to support and hold tightly to the Christian children over the holidays.</p>
<p><strong>Wednesday 26 </strong></p>
<p><em><strong>Our Link Missionaries in Central Asia</strong></em>; continue to pray for Linda’s weekly prison visits and ask God to raise up more women to join this ministry.</p>
<p><strong>Thursday 27</strong></p>
<p>Pray for <em><strong>Mike, Chris, Anthony Flatt and Philip Selden</strong></em> as they prepare to preach this weekend.  Pray that they will be diligent, faithful and prayerful in their study of the Scriptures.</p>
<p><strong>Friday 28 </strong></p>
<p>Pray for <em><strong>Ben Molyneux</strong></em> as he speaks at ASIO tonight. Pray for those who come, that they will find out who Jesus is, and respond to Him. Pray also for <em><strong>Simon Nagel</strong></em> as he speaks at Soulies tonight. Pray for wisdom in preparation and application and ask that God would use Simon to encourage the Christians at Soulies and challenge others who don’t follow Jesus. Give thanks for the faithful service of the Soulies leaders, including <em><strong>Natalie Hooley, Matt Smith, Matt Wells, Steph Curnow, Cass Gordon, Robin Vonk, Chris Hale, Andy Chloupek, Tom Glyde, Alicia Barnes. </strong></em></p>
<p><strong>Saturday 29</strong></p>
<p>Thank God for providing for the <em><strong>financial needs of St Faith’s</strong></em> this year. As we look at reaching out with Connect ’09 next year, pray that God would continue to provide money to pay staff and other costs so our ministries can continue and grow.</p>
<p><strong>Sunday 30</strong></p>
<p style="text-align: left">Pray for <em><strong>Rod Smith’s Bible study group</strong></em> as they lead the 6pm service tonight. Ask for them to work well as a team, and for the meeting to bring glory to Jesus. Pray for Chris as he preaches.</p>
